We are having meltdowns today missing you.? We are trying to stay focused on all the greatness we shared with you and the love you gave us.? It is still hard for us to comprehend that you left us five years ago today to be with our Dad and our God in Heaven!
There have been a few changes in our lives this year.? Sophia & Jim now own your home.? We all know that you are smiling down on them and sending them love and your blessings.? We truly know that this makes you happy.? Willard & Bertha have retired, left Texas, and now are living in Kentucky. ?All your children, their spouses, and your grandchildren are doing well.? You would be proud to know that Tommy has married and now has two beautiful children.?? He even named his son after Dad.? We officially have another Henry Short.? They even nicknamed him Hank. ? Oh by the way, Tommy is such a handsome man who looks just like his Dad, Marvin, your first son and our oldest brother!
We could go on and on, but we will have another conversation with you later.? One last thing we want you and Dad to know is that you might be gone from this earth, but you will never ever be forgotten as long as one of us has a breath left.? We love you and miss you more today than our hearts can express.
We think of you every day, but today brings back memories of losing our Dad.? ???People often say that time will heal your heart.? That is so not true!? These feelings are as fresh today as they were the day they occurred.?? The sorrow that we are experiencing is just as painful as it was then.?? It is still hard to believe that 22 years have passed since our Dad left our presence to be with God. One great thing that makes us feel better is knowing the two of you are together.? Often times, we feel your presence and have a sense of comfort knowing that both of you are watching over us!
We will always love and miss you and hold you close to our hearts!
We are always cherishing fond and loving memories of you and Dad.? However, today is a special day, our Dad?s birthday! ??So, Mom we are counting on you to convey our love and tell our sweet Dad ?Happy Birthday? for us!
We want to thank you both for being the perfect Mom and Dad and we will forever keep your love and memory close to our hearts.? So, on this day we are remembering two very special people and the love you exhibited for each of your children.? This love remains fresh within our souls and is what keeps us going daily!? We are thinking about you on this Christmas Day.? Tis the season for remembering God?s boundless love. When we woke up this morning we looked to Heaven above.? We remembered your sweet smiles and the love you bestowed on us.?? ?We are thankful that we will be together again in Heaven someday. Today we are inundated with many special memories of you within our hearts.? One of the most memorable occasions was surprising you on your 50th Anniversary.?? You were utterly amazed at how we could put together your party without you having a single clue. ? Just seeing your faces as you walked through the door was priceless.?? Your faces glowed with happiness.? You two really enjoyed that day and you were so appreciative.? These are some of the great memories that we will forever cherish of you.? They will eternally bring happiness to our souls!

Today we are reflecting back on many Thanksgiving Holidays we spent with You and Dad.? The family love, food and fun we shared on those days we will always cherish.?
