Happy 73rd Anniversary to My Precious Mom and Dad:
Today would be 73 years since you vowed to take each other?s hand in marriage and love one another forevermore. Dad you left this world first and made Heaven your new home. Mom you were given more years here on earth to be with your children, but eventually God called you home.
I know you are celebrating your 73rd Anniversary today in Heaven. ?I can see you both smiling cheek to cheek just like you did when we celebrated your surprised 50th Anniversary at a party that your children put together for you.? On your 50th Anniversary it was absolutely awesome seeing your sweet faces as you entered the room. Your expressions upon seeing family and friends as you opened the door were priceless. I remember your eyes filling with ?joyful? tears.? It actually took a moment for you to realize what was really taking place. It was like you were thinking ?? what is all of this about??? Once you recognized what was occurring, it became an amazingly magical moment ? one just for my loving parents.
So you wouldn?t suspect anything, we made up a story that you were getting your picture made by a photographer for your 50th Anniversary.?? I must admit, we planned it well, and you were totally clueless. ?Willard and I had to make up a story of why we wouldn?t be able to come home.? We were very convincing and it worked!? You totally believed us!?? Regardless, Willard flew in from Texas and Bill and I came in from Tennessee and you had no idea we were even coming home. I arrived the night before.? To keep the family tradition, I even called you the morning of the party to wish you a Happy 50th Anniversary. This made it even more believable since it made it seem that I would not be coming home for the holidays.? These memories are simply the best and I will forever cherish them.
Mom and Dad, I know that being together is how you always wanted to be and finally you are back together again in a beautiful place.?? Even though I miss and love you, I feel good knowing you are happy and at peace. I will continue to remember you as my loving and wonderful parents.? I am sending lots of hugs your way and God Bless You Both!
